What Are The Most Common Types?

You have several options. We’ll discuss all the possibilities so you can determine what type is right for you.

  • Full traditional dentures – We make a full custom set of artificial teeth and place them into your mouth after we’ve removed any remaining teeth you have and all tissues have healed. From start to finish, this process could take several weeks.
  • Immediate dentures – We insert immediate temporary false teeth as soon your teeth are removed. These can actually help reduce the swelling of extraction sites. Once your mouth has healed, we will reline them to fit any changes that occurred in your mouth. In some cases these can be made in as little as one to two weeks.
  • Dentures with soft liners – These are the ideal choice for people who still fight sore gums even after meticulous adjustment of their dentures. The soft liner acts as a shock-absorbing cushion between your gums and dentures and can dramatically increase your comfort during chewing and daily wear.
What Are Partial Dentures?

We offer this type of partial for people who still have some healthy teeth they want to keep. Partials come in three options, including:

  • Conventional Partial Dentures – A partial fills in the space of multiple missing teeth and attaches directly to your natural teeth. Replacement teeth in a partial denture are attached to a gum-colored base, connected by metal framework. They attach to the teeth with metal clasps.
  • CuSil DenturesCuSil dentures are partials that provide holes for remaining teeth. This option allows us to add additional replacement teeth later. CuSil dentures feature a soft, elastomeric gasket that makes them more comfortable than metal partials. This option does not place additional load on your remaining teeth.
  • Precision Partial Dentures – Precision partials are similar to conventional partials. However, instead of attaching the false teeth to your teeth with metal clasps, they are attached with precise hidden clasps.

What Are Overdentures?

We offer two types of overdentures. Implant supported overdentures are a great option for if yours are loose and uncomfortable. We place dental implants into your residual jawbone to help stabilize loose dentures. This makes eating easier and gives you added confidence in your day-to-day activities. We can use a variety of attachments to help secure the set. Tooth supported overdentures are another great option for securing loose dentures. We attach the dentures to existing teeth to help secure the denture, which makes eating and talking more comfortable. We can use a variety of attachments to help secure them.
