Michelle Horst, DDS

If you’ve ever felt nervous about going to the dentist, you’ll be glad to meet Dr. Michelle Horst. With a background in behavioral therapy and a heart for families, Dr. Michelle is known for her gentle touch, calming presence, and ability to put even the most anxious patients at ease. Before earning her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry, she worked as an applied behavioral therapist for children on the autism spectrum and individuals with anxiety disorders.

Dr. Michelle now practices full-time at our Peoria office, where she loves caring for patients of all ages—especially children—and educating families on how oral health connects to overall wellness. A lifelong learner, she enjoys exploring the latest insights in cosmetic dentistry, wellness, and preventive care.

Outside the office, Dr. Michelle treasures time with her husband and three young children, whether they’re swimming, hiking, or watching outdoor movies in their backyard. She’s also a fan of seasonal fruit, peanut butter, and classic movies like It’s a Wonderful Life. Fun fact: she once completed the Chicago Marathon—despite never having run more than a mile before training!
